CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
In order to receive Pratt's Certificate in Fine and Decorative Art Appraisal Studies, you must successfully complete all five of the Appraisal Studies core courses. We also recommend that you take two elective courses for special endorsement in connoisseurship. The courses with 3.0 C.E.U.s last for 3 and one half days, and the courses with 1.5 C.E.U.s last for 2 days.

Course Prerequisites:
No previous experience required. You are expected to have an educational background, such as a Bachelor's degree, or some professional market experience relevant to the objects typically examined in current appraisal practice or expected to be examined in future appraisal practice. PMPPGJ 201 through 204 must be taken in sequential order. PMSE 100PP may be taken at any time.
Instructions: Textbooks and Reading Materials
There are required textbooks for your class. These books can be purchased directly from ASA prior to class and must be prepaid before shipping. Please identify yourself as a Pratt student and allow one week for shipping (the price includes UPS ground delivery). Some pre-reading is required so please order early. Tips for Visiting Students
Pratt’s location near Greenwich Village in Manhattan further allows students an opportunity to combine their appraisal studies with a visit to New York’s famed art and cultural institutions and local art fairs.

Registration is due 2 weeks prior course start date in order to guarantee your seat and allow course to reach minimum enrollment. See individual courses for deadline dates. Registrations received after deadline are subject to availability of the course. We recommend purchasing tickets after you receive course confirmation email from Pratt Institute.
